2018 Day 65A – Review – Beginnings (Ahe’ey #1) by Jamie Le Fay

Morgan is a dreamer, change maker and art lover. She is a feisty, slightly preachy, romantic feminist full of contradictions and insecurities. Morgan uncovers a world where women have the power, and where magic is no longer just a figment of her wild imagination. Sounds like a dream, but it may, in fact, turn into a nightmare.

The world of the Ahe’ey challenges and subverts her views about gender, genes, and nature versus nurture.

The strong and uninvited chemistry between her and the dashing Gabriel makes matters even more complicated. His stunning looks keep short-circuiting her rational mind.

2018 Day 56B – Review – Curse of the Immune by Levi Doone

My name is Leah Tusa. I’m fourteen years old. I enjoy reading and school. I’m skinny, not very strong, clumsy and I still sleep with stuffed animals. None of which are very useful in a zombie apocalypse.

My brother Luke is the complete opposite, strong, athletic, and couldn’t care less about academics. He’s gone missing and I’m left to fend for myself.

People like me weren’t meant to survive in such a world, yet here I am. Thankfully I find Rudy who saves and trains me as I search for my brother.

Oh, and Rudy’s a handsome guy that’s my age. I fear the trick will be to live long enough to find out if we have a chance at romance.

It seems all the adults and most of the kids have become undead. No one left to tell us what to do, or protect us.
